Emphron has significant expertise in the design and analysis of discovery studies and work-flows for diagnostics and therapeutics. Our experience includes data management and statistical analysis across the range of modern biotechnology platforms, including mass Spec, high throughput Elisa assays, RT-PCR, gene chip technology for expression and genotyping and proteomics. Emphron services include:
- A hosted data base solution for Combimatrix, Affymetrix and Illumina data. This solution is based in our enterprise class data centre, and provides secure protection for costly experimental data – effectively dealing with the chaos caused by having data spread around multiple Post Doc's computers. Data can be loaded directly using a secure and encrypted internet connection, or provided to Emphron on DVDs. The data base solution allows flexible re-use of data, and the generation of specific studies – combinations of assays designed to answer a particular scientific or commercial question. It provides a comprehensive range of pre-defined analysis work-flows, based around the questions which typically arise in discovery research.
- A complete service analysis package for gene chip or bead station genetic and proteomics data. Our competencies include analysis of CGH data, flow cytometry, Affymetrix, Combimatrix and Illumina arrays. The analysis is tailored to meet your precise scientific or commercial objectives. The analysis service involves a low cost per chip, and is generally much more cost effective than in-house solutions.
- Bespoke software development and integration services to provide in-house solutions to all data management and statistical analysis needs. Using open-source components, these services are delivered at a fraction of the cost of proprietary solutions. Solutions can be installed on your own hardware, hosted on Emphron servers, or pre-installed on hardware scoped, certified and provided by Emphron.
